Thanks, I'm glad you like it!  You're certainly welcome to include it 
(or a modified version) in Twisted.

One potential addition would be a command line flag to have it run as a 
  server instead of using stdio.  That might be a nice way to 
demonstrate how the same protocol can be used on stdio or in a server.
